May We very much enjoyed our stay at " Le Pech ", which we found to be clean on arrival and the best equipped gîte that we have known. The views of course are spectacular and the surrounding countryside very pretty. The Sunday morning market at Montcuq should not be missed…Hope that we might be back!! Lorna & Brian, East Sussex |
May/ June It is so tranquil here that we slept, on average, for the first three nights, about nine hours! It is a good place to distress. We have loved visiting the local bastide towns and exploring the countryside. The view from the house is just stupendous; it is very uplifting to see every morning. The house is very comfortable and well appointed and very homely. We'd really like to return too, in another season to see the changes in the countryside. Jo & John Wilkinson, W. Sussex |
June /July Felt at home as soon as we saw the gîte and the fantastic view put a smile on our faces as it continued to do for the whole two weeks…This is the perfect setting for unwinding and recharging the batteries which is exactly what we were looking for. Tracy & Adrian, South Wales |

July We've really enjoyed our stay at Le Pech. The views are wonderful and it's lovely to watch the different lighting effects on the hills at different times of the day. We back up everyone else that the market at Montcuq on Sunday is great - the best French market we've been to. The gîte has been very comfortable and contained everything we needed. August We've all really enjoyed our stay here at Le Pech - so much so that we have already booked it again for next year!! September This has been a great week…The gîte is one of the best we have stayed in - very clean and very comfortable. The views are amazing and we could spend hours sitting on the veranda looking over the valley…A week has not been long enough to explore all of this area so I'm quite sure you'll see us again! September Being at Le Pech takes me back to my childhood tree house in California where we were above the 'madding crowd' and looking down on the world below! A heavenly experience! June The most glorious location imaginable. Excellently equipped and very comfortable. If you want the entente cordiale you can't do better than Marianne and Bernard - and their children are delightful. We walked to Guitard - this is recommended. Wildlife exotic - hoopoos particularly. June We never forget the day that we were driving up to Montlauzun just to have a look there. Then we saw you, Marianne doing the finishing touches to the gîte to receive the first guests. We looked in it and it was love at first sight…that happened three years ago and now we are here for the fourth time. We still love the gîte, which is perfect…the wonderful views make the paradise complete. We thank you, Bernard and Marianne for the beautiful and clean gîte and for your hospitality. June /July We too have been very comfortable in the gîte; it is clean and well equipped - thank you Marianne and Bernard. You have both been kind and friendly hosts. The views are so magnificent that most evenings we have sat around the table in the front garden, eating our barbecue and enjoying the fantastic views. 2October We had a suitcase full of sweaters expecting to curl up in front of the fire and watch the winter outside. However the weather has been so nice we have sat outside everyday reading and Adrian has a suntan in October! We wanted a week of complete rest and I have slept very late everyday. We are completely rested and chilled. Lovely to see Marianne, Bernard and the children again. Will be back 2005. Tracy & Adrian, South Wales |
November This place reminds me of the area I grew up in as a child in the valleys of Hertfordshire, rolling hills and beautiful scenery. One couldn't wish for a better view here. Very relaxing and restful. Even in November with the mists and rain it is still a lovely place to be. We have had many trips to France, but this gîte has most definitely been the most cosy and well-equipped one we have stayed in. I think Marianne and Bernard have thought of everything to make their guests enjoy their stay here. Two lovely people who make their guests welcome, only wish I was staying longer…Still hopefully if Marianne isn't too booked up next year we will be back to enjoy this cosy little cottage and the surrounding areas… I shall tell all my friends of this lovely Gem of a place. November I have had a wonderful week staying in your delightful gîte - it is perched so high - like an eagles nest and the views are breathtaking.
